As a photography and videography team, every wedding we capture is a unique story. But when we were booked to document a wedding aboard Yacht StarShip in Clearwater Beach, Florida, I knew this experience would be something truly special.



Picture this: the golden hues of a Gulf Coast sunset reflecting off the calm waves, a cool sea breeze sweeping through the air, and a luxurious yacht providing the perfect venue for a couple's "I do's." The setting alone was breathtaking, but the day was filled with moments that made it unforgettable for both the couple and us behind the camera.

Yacht StarShip isn't just a venue—it's an experience. From the moment we stepped aboard, we were struck by the elegant details: gleaming wood finishes, panoramic windows offering views of the water, and a rooftop deck perfect for capturing those intimate, sunlit moments.



As a photographer, the yacht was a dream. The interplay of natural light and nautical design elements gave us countless creative angles to work with. From the couple's first kiss as husband and wife on the rooftop deck, to the candid laughter of guests on the dance floor, every shot felt cinematic.

The Challenges and Joys of a Dynamic Venue

Shooting a wedding on a yacht does come with its challenges. The movement of the boat requires extra attention to stability—tripods and gimbals became our best friends that day! Plus, working with natural light that shifts as the boat cruises meant adapting quickly to changing conditions.

But these challenges were more than worth it. The constantly evolving backdrop of Clearwater Beach's pristine coastline, combined with the intimate, adventurous vibe of being at sea, created moments that felt raw, real, and romantic.



A Sunset Ceremony to Remember

The highlight of the day was the sunset ceremony on the top deck. As the bride walked down the aisle to the soft sound of waves, the horizon seemed to stand still, as if nature itself was blessing the occasion. Capturing the groom's tearful reaction and the couple exchanging vows against that vibrant sunset felt like magic.

An Evening of Celebration

Once the sun dipped below the horizon, the celebration moved inside. The yacht’s dining area transformed into a lively reception space, complete with gourmet dining and an energetic dance floor. We loved switching between capturing heartfelt speeches and joyful dance moves while the boat glided under a starlit sky.
